Lackaleen

Frosty lady of unknowable age, ponders lost moments as indigo and fuchsia rose-of-sharons and violets watch on, contemplating the idea of pointillism. What kind of underwater dwelling is so translucent? She was a farmer her whole life, and now she aches to put her hands in the soil. She will come to realize that she will live forever, and she will spare no effort in illuminating each day with the secrets of the universe by way of one surreal experience after another.

Lady Submarine

This is a portrait of one of those scandalous “ladies” of early 20th century British upper class echelon. I had checked out that Beetles cartoon, the Yellow Submarine thing, and I was very inspired. I love whoever is the author of those imaginings.

Psycho

This is a little blast from the past. Possibly July or August of 2004 or 2005. Those are the only two months you can wear a t-shirt in Vermont.
A lot of the time I just wish a little bit that technology was not racing away, laying to rest some wonderful things like paper and glue and cutting things out. Here I took a photo and easily distorted it and then drew it using proportional drawing a la 4th grade. But, I guess, I’d like to cut it out and glue it on to something else; my answer to perspective.

I am selling something called dog clocks at the Funky Mutt in Asheville. This is a sweet little dobie I did. It came out better than I thought. This is not a clock yet. It's hard to draw dogs, you know? When I went to art school, I was like, "teach me how to draw a horse, because I already know how to draw this scraggly old homeless guy." I still can't really draw a horse, but I guess I'm half way to a dobie. I was a very disobedient art student.
